Support 19-Year's Old Immanuvel David's Recovery After Spinal Surgery

Immanuvel David is a resilient 19-year-old from Hosur, Tamil Nadu, whose life turned upside down after a tragic fall from a height of 12 feet on 27‑Sep‑2024. The accident resulted in multiple vertebral fractures—L1 AO A3 and L2–B2—and a devastating neurological deficit affecting his lower limbs.

He was admitted to SBS Hospital on 29‑Sep‑2024, where he underwent T12–L2 posterior stabilization. Unfortunately, postoperative complications, including an epidural hematoma, led to further neurological deterioration and immobilization. On 1‑Oct, an MRI revealed an anterior epidural collection; by 3‑Oct, he underwent decompression, extension of instrumentation, and hematoma evacuation.

Despite undergoing two major surgeries—on 2nd and 3rd Oct—Immanuvel continues to suffer from neurological impairment. His recovery is further complicated by a recent diagnosis of Hemophilia-C and a urinary tract infection, requiring vigilant medical care.

Immanuvel now urgently needs intensive rehabilitation, physiotherapy, mobility aids, and further medical assessments to maximize his chances of regaining independence. His parents, already overwhelmed with medical debt, are unable to afford the extensive costs of ongoing care.
